Baking with bananas can be tricky if you have people around you, that are allergic to bananas. Not really allergic by means of getting sick because of them. It’s more like getting reactions like “eeew” and “uagh”… yes Tobi, I am talking about you ;)

I don’t understand it. I love bananas and everything you can make with them. Best example: these Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies. So banananagood ;)

I suppose everybody here has his own chocolate chip cookie recipe at home. From your mom or grandma probably. I love them! Hop over to my basic Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe if you got none ;) Anyways… you can always improve a regular chocolate chip cookie recipe, by adding some ingredients. Nuts, berries or in this case here bananana. Mashed banana added to the dough makes your cookies fluffy and moist and of course, adds a lot of flavors! If you like, you can add some banana slices on top as well for decoration.

The cookies are not dry like other cookies, so this means you should not store them for too long and also should not stack them. If you have banana fans at home this won’t be a problem anyway, cause they will be gone pretty fast :P

For all of you that like bakes with banana as much as I do, I already have some nice recipes on the blog. You can search for them via quick search (the little magnifying glass on top of the page or in the mobile menu) or you just click on one of the recipes below. Pretty sure you gonna like them all :)

    1. Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with baking parchment and set aside.

    2. Add the butter and sugar to a large bowl and mix on high speed until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and mix in. Add the egg and mix until well combined. Add the mashed banana and mix in. In a separate bowl mix the flour with baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Add to the large bowl and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Use a spoon or cookie scoop to place dough balls on the prepared baking sheet (leave enough space in between) and top with one or two banana slices. Bake for about 9-12 minutes until the sides get a nice color, but the cookies are still a bit soft. Take out of the oven and let cool down on a wire rack.

    About me

Hi, my name is Marc. I’m a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake – for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers – and it seems they like it most of the time. ;)
