Happy Cookie Friday! How about a fresh batch of (more or less) typical American cookies? Really sweet, high in calories, and (unfortunately) also extremely delicious? If you’re nodding your head right now, I’ve got something for you. A big bowl of (Impossible) Chocolate Candy Cookies. Feel free to grab one or two while they are still available ;)

Here in Germany, it is common to have big markets almost all year round with booths for shopping and food. Every little event or holiday can be “used” to open up one of these markets in popular spots throughout a city. Christmas markets are only the tip of the iceberg here, but probably the most known markets. Anyway. On almost all of these markets, you have those food booths with typical dishes – bratwurst, buletten (the German version of burgers) and stuff like that. One of my favorite dishes from these markets is definitely fried mushrooms in a creamy sauce with loads of garlic. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic and no markets are open, I decided to treat myself to a big pan of these delicious mushrooms (and some fried potatoes).

January and February are generally colder winter months in Germany. This year February hit us hard with a lot of snow and very low temperatures. Sub-zero temperatures all day and night. My mind and body are constantly requesting soul food/comfort food and loads of calories. To get through winter I recommend making these Mini Brownie Chocolate Mousse Trifles from time to time. Chocolate for lifting the mood and the calories for your hips and belly ;P

Can I offer you some cookies made with honey? Do you like honey in general? Well… if your answer is “yes” you should definitively try one of these delicious Honey Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. It’s #CookieFriday and I got a fresh batch of cookies. Sweet little treats to get us all in the mood for the weekend ;) And, of course, to make sure you got something sweet to nibble on for the next several days. You’re welcome ;P

It is still cold and nasty outside. Time to stay in and cook a nice stew to keep yourself warm. This lately I am cooking and baking a lot of my favorite childhood recipes. Dishes that are popular in the area I am coming from – like this (Sour) Lentil Stew with Sausages. A dish I could eat all the time – not only on cold days in winter or fall ;)
How about a delicious cake made only with plant-based ingredients? Sounds good? Well… I guess I got something for you in that case. An easy peasy Vegan Funfetti Cake with Vegan German Buttercream. I know, the name is a mouthful… but what you should actually do, is getting a large piece of the cake so your mouth is full. Does this make any sense in English? I assume, some of you already noticed that English is not my first language ;P Anyway. Great vegan cake with sprinkles. That’s all you need to know right now! That’s all I said.
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
