We are not cooking too many soups at home, but when we do, it’s often something like this simple Coconut Curry Dumpling Soup. Quick and easy to prepare and really tasty with all the add-ins! Nobody likes a thin and boring soup with nothing in it. Right?! ;P

Ramen has gotten more and more fans in recent years. I don’t mean just the delicious ramen dishes you can order in restaurants, but also those ramen dishes from a bag you can easily prepare at home. In this case, however, rather plain ramen dishes. Never really fancy, right?! Well, if you like ramen and want to spice up the store-bought version from bags a little, you should take a closer look at our Ramen Upgrade with Tonkatsu. With little effort, you can turn a simple noodle soup into something much more appealing. ;P
Do you like soup? We do, but to be honest, we prefer soups that have a lot of stuff added. A homemade potato soup, chicken soup or this Simple & Easy Hungarian Goulash Soup, for example. A delicious dish my family always loved to prepare when it’s colder outside. Give us a clear soup with just a noodle or two, and you will see only sad faces. ;P
As a child, the story of the »Suppenkaspar« (a cautionary tale from an old German children’s book) would have been absolutely spot on for me. Kaspar did not like soup, neither did I. Luckily my mom made other food as well. My dislike for soup has changed a little over the years. It’s not a 360° turn, because I still do not like a clear soup (which is basically just flavored water), but it’s much better now. Place a bowl of flavorful soup with loads of stuff innit in front of me… I’m all in! Something like this easy Chorizo & White Bean Soup, for example. An absolute favorite in our house for many years already. I think this would have brought Kaspar to the table as well. Poor chap! ;)

If there’s one soup that I’ve eaten 100,000 times, it’s probably Tom Kha Gai. This delicious chicken and coconut soup, you can find on the menu of many Asian restaurants. It’s definitely one of my favorite dishes in Asian cuisine. It’s easy to prepare and extremely tasty! If you don’t want to go to a restaurant to eat this soup, you can easily make it at home. With this recipe here ;)
A hot soup is often a »life saver« during the cold season. It won’t thaw frozen feet, but it warms you up nicely from the inside, right? ;P This White Beans, Potato & Chorizo Soup can also be prepared on warmer days… actually all year round if you fancy potatoes, bean and spicy Spanish sausage. This soup tastes great all 365 days of the year ;)

Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
