A delicious dessert doesn’t always have to be complicated – a few simple ingredients, some stirring, and you’ve got something delicious on the table. These little glass jars with Strawberry & Lemon Mascarpone Mousse are definitely from that »quick dessert« category. It doesn’t always take a three-tier layer cake to satisfy a sweet tooth. Also, better than just a piece of chocolate shoved into your mouth when you’re craving something sweet. Right? ;P
This treat here has a few different names. Some call them »Palmiers« or »Prussiens«, others call them »Pig’s ears«. I normally just call these sweet little treats Puff Pastry Hearts or Valentine’s Heart Palmiers. I think that the name pig’s ears is not really hitting the mark. They don’t look like ears at all. Neither animal nor human ears. ;P
It doesn’t take much to make someone happy. We think these Mini Ladyfingers Tiramisu Cakes are just perfect for moments like that. Uncomplicated and easy to prepare and really delicious – what more could you want? These little treats are definitely a good idea for everyone that likes tiramisu. We immediately fell in love with these little desserts!
Ice cream can be enjoyed all year round – summer and winter, right?! I think so. In winter, you might not be able to sit on the terrace with and enjoy it in the sun, but this Strawberry (Burnt) Cheesecake Ice Cream also tastes really good on the sofa when you’re wrapped in a warm blanket! Strawberries are only in season in early summer here. Unfortunately. Fortunately, you can enjoy these little red fellas as jam all year round. It’s not the same as fresh fruits, of course, but still something ;P Jam on bread is almost boring, which is why I also like to use strawberry jam for cookies, for example. Sometimes as a fruity layer between two cookies, or as a filling, like in these Strawberry Lemon Crinkle Cookies. So good! Everybody loves them here.
When it comes to cheesecakes we often gravitate to no-bake cheesecakes in summer. They are delicious and easy to prepare. However, do not forget those baked cheesecakes – those are great as well. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
