I’m a big fan of scones. These little pastries are quick and easy to prepare and can be made with so many different ingredients – chocolate, nuts, berries… These Cherry Marzipan Scones are made with – you guessed it already – fresh cherries and marzipan :P An extremely tasty combination I like a lot… you should definitely try!
Cherries and marzipan go quite well together, I’d say. The tart sweetness of the cherries is complemented by the flavor of the almonds in the marzipan – for me, always a winning combination. These Cherry Marzipan Streusel Shortbread Bars got some additional crunchy streusels on top to make the whole experience even better. Sweet, tart, soft and crunchy – all at once ;P
What could be better than a big load of delicious cherries packed between two layers of crispy pastry with some ice cream or vanilla sauce on top? Not much, right? ;) A Classic Cherry Pie is hard to beat. One of the best treats you can serve in summer. An absolute rock star when it comes to pies!
A nice dinner without a delicious dessert is not quite perfect – at least in my opinion. I need something sweet at the end of a dinner… but it does not have to be a big cake or anything like that. A simple layer dessert is great! Something like this Vegan Chocolate Mousse with Cherry Compote, for example. It’s quick and easy to prepare and can be made in advance ;)
There’s almost nothing better in summer than a delicious, chilled cheesecake, right? Simple no-bake cheesecakes are always my first choice when I want to offer something sweet to family and friends. We are also big fans of cherries, so combining a no-bake cheesecake and cherries seemed perfect. The result – this absolutely delicious No-Bake Cheesecake with Cherry Topping – is incredible. One of the best (if not THE best) cakes for a hot summer day! Definitely worth making. I wished I could pass around a few pieces, so you could get a taste ;P
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
