Simple loaf cakes are always a good choice when you need a quick and easy dessert. You just mix your batter, throw everything into a loaf tin and the rest is the job of your oven. This Coconut Milk Loaf Cake is an absolute showstopper in my opinion – beautifully moist and incredibly tasty. I can only recommend baking it ;)
We love Asian cuisine. There are so many delicious dishes you can quite easily recreate at home. Of course, it’s good to have an Asian supermarket nearby to get all the necessary ingredients…. not every »regular« supermarket necessarily has everything on hand that you need for those recipes. However, the ingredients for this delicious Coconut Red Curry Soup with Rice Noodles & Crispy Pork are not super exotic. Most of them are easy to find in regular supermarkets these days ;)
Starbucks has a lot of fans but probably equally many haters. Whether it’s the working conditions in the shops, the issue of gentrification, the exorbitant prices, or the extreme amounts of sugar in many drinks… there’s a lot that’s problematic. But there is one thing you can’t deny – they are quite inventive when it comes to coffee and tea. The company made a lot of money, for example, with the Pink Drink in recent years. If you like that one too (but don’t really want to support the company), you can make the Pink Drink at home easily. It’s much cheaper, and you can make it with less sugar compared to the original ;P
Happy Cookie Friday! Once again. Today I got a cookie recipe that is from the other side of the globe (if you live in Germany like me). Anzac Cookies are popular cookies from Australia and New Zealand – and here in Germany pretty much unknown I guess. At least I’ve never seen them in any bakery or coffee shop around here. That doesn’t mean that the little fellas aren’t super tasty. I fell in love pretty much in an instant. Oats, coconut, and honey are a great combination! You should definitely give it a try ;)
The Christmas season is the time for many traditional sweet treats – from Christmas cookies to cakes and desserts. I am a big fan of cakes (of course) but for Christmas, I actually prefer making cookies. Simple and easy stuff you can nibble on for days. For all coconut (flavor) fans out there I got a delicious treat: Coconut Snowball Cookies. So good!
I am a big fan of raspberries. I could eat them all day long. The perfect sweet little snack. Wherever you throw them on top – on a bake, a smoothie bowl, or whatever – everything will be instantly more delicious. That’s a fact ;P This Raspberry Coconut Mousse Tart actually does not need raspberries on top because there are a lot of them already in the mousse… but it will not hurt if you add a lot of raspberries to decorate the tart. They are not only delicious, but they also look nice ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
