Cherries are in season in summer – outside those few months, these delicious little fruits are rarely found in supermarkets. When they do appear in the market in winter, they are usually sold at exorbitant prices. For this reason, we recommend making the most of the cherries while in season. If you need a little inspiration, here is a small collection of cherry recipes – Our Top 15 Cherry Recipes – where these little red fellas are the stars! Get started before the season is over!

You can do a lot with cherries. Many people will probably just eat them straight out of the bag they bought them in. But there’s so much more you can do with cherries. From a simple cherry compote to a slightly more labor-intense Black Forest Cake, there’s plenty you can do. We’re talking mainly about baking recipes here, of course, but you can also use cherries for cooking. Sauces, chutneys, and the like are just a few examples of cherries in savory recipes.
This list here is all about sweet recipes, though. From simple and easy to not so simple and less easy – we got a lot. ;P When cherries are needed for the decoration of a bake, they should be fresh – for fillings and everything else, you can normally use frozen cherries. This means you can freeze some cherries in summer, when in season and cheaper, and use them later when there are no more in supermarkets available. Sounds good, right? ;)

So here is our »Best of the best« with cherries… or simply our favorite recipes from A to Z. What’s your favorite? Do you have one?
