For today’s Cookie Friday I don’t have just one recipe, no! I have 10(!) recipes for delicious cookies for you! Some of you out there who are reading my blog on a regular basis, probably know some of these recipes already ;) Well… it’s because I collected my all-time favorive recipes for cookies with chocolate to share them with you again. Why? Cause chocolate is awesome! :P
Just kidding… well not really – chocolate is really awesome, but that’s not the only reason here. I have collected a lot of cookie recipes over the past years. Every week a new one. There are so many now, I almost forgot the old ones I posted when Cookie Friday started… that’s why I wanted to bring them up again once in a while. They should not disappear in the darkness of the cookie archives. So many are just too good to be forgotten. This is why I decided to show you a themed cookie collection every no and then. Today’s cookies will be all about chocolate. I looked for 10 recipes I like the most and put them together in one list – without any ranking really. Neither number 1 or number 10 are the best here – these cookies are ALL awesome! So take a look and maybe you will find something to try… Let me know if a certain recipe is missing here or which one is your favorite.
Happy Cookie Friday y’all! ;)
1. Black Forrest Cherry Cookies
These cookies are based on a German classic: The Black Forrest Cake! Have you ever tried? It’s good, but also quite heavy. Loads of calories! The cookies have all the good flavors but are not sooo massive. You can easily eat one or two without the need to jump on a bike and do a trip around the city to work those calories :P The cookies are made with delicious chocolate and cherries. I use fresh cherries in the recipe, but you can also make them with frozen cherries – no problem! So get the bowls ready and make yourself some of these great Black Forrest Cherry Cookies! Oh and bring me some! :P
2. Double Chocolate Pumpkin Seed Cookies
Cookies don’t have to be sweet all the time. I actually love it, when sweet and salty come together like they do in these Double Chocolate Pumpkin Seed Cookies. The chocolate works really well with the pumpkin seeds and sea salt… no idea why, but it works :P
3. Chocolate Pistachio Biscotti
To be honest, these Chocolate Pistachio Biscotti should not be called cookies. People from Italy probably get mad when I do that ;) But hey – when I started with my Cookie Friday couple years ago, I said anything is possible and everything will be called cookies. That easy :P
4. Schokolade Cornflake Pecan Cookies
Combining chocolate and pecans is always a good idea. In combination with the cornflakes, you get really nice chocolaty-nutty-crunchy cookies! Be warned – if you bake these Chocolate Cornflake Pecan Cookies, make sure you do not leave them alone. Pretty sure a blue furry hand will be close by to grab one or more if you are not looking!
This is another flavor combination that is really good: chocolate and coffee or espresso! With these Chocolate Truffle Cookies, you can start your day with a good amount of both – espresso and chocolate ;)
6. Rosemary Lemon Chocolate Cookies
Rosemary and lemon are a pretty common flavor combination. But with chocolate? Not so much I’d say. Make these Rosemary Lemon Chocolate Cookies and you will see the flavors match perfectly. The earthy rosemary in combination with the citrus and chocolate… so good!
I guess there is not much to say here. These Easy Nutella Cookies have it all! Nutella and Chocolate! It could not get any better! Do you like Nutella as much as I do?
I really have to thank the person that came up with brownies in shape of cookies! Whoever it was – genius! Grab one of these delicious Brownie Cookies and enjoy with a big glass of milk. It’s so good!
9. Double Chocolate Chili Lava Cookies
Some like it hot… that’s not only a movie title – it’s also one of the big questions in life: do you like it hot and spicy or not? Well – when making these Double Chocolate Chili Lava Cookies you can decide how hot they will be. I recommend to use some more chili… works perfectly with the sweetness of the chocolate!
Last but not least I have a batch of Snickers Cookies to offer. These delicious cookies are crunchy on the outside and soft inside. For me the perfect cookie texture! If you love the candy bars, I’m pretty sure these cookies are perfect for you!
*Cookies may contain nuts! ;)
