Do you have a garden by any chance? Maybe with some tomato plants? Are the first tomatoes ready to be eaten? Mid/end of July you should be able to harvest the first fruits I guess. Most of our tomatoes are still green because we have had a cold and rainy summer so far. The ones ready to harvest were not enough to make this cheesecake with tomato and fennel topping so far. But that could change in a couple of weeks I guess. There is hope ;)
It’s “Bake Together” time – once again! You might have read this already several times this month if you are coming by here on a regular basis. Beginning of the month we had a whole week of “Bake Together” recipes – all vegan. A really nice collection you can find here and on Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte. Today we are doing our “regular thing” which is always happening on the last Sunday of the month. Well… I will explain in a moment – let’s have a look at this delicious Spinach & Tomato Frittata first ;)
It’s time for another “Bake together – The Baking Surprise” with my blogger colleague Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte. This months topic: tomatoes! It’s a whole month since we last baked together… that one time we even physically baked together for a change… ;)
A whole month has passed by already… so quick! What does this mean? Well, a new recipe for “Bake together – The Baking Surprise” is coming up. It’s actually happening right now. You are already reading about it ;P This month Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte and myself decided to do something NOT sweet for a change. This time it’s all about asparagus!
That’s why you can find the recipe for a delicious quiche with white and green asparagus, potatoes and ham here. Plus some homemade sauce hollandaise you should not miss! If you are not drooling yet, there is something wrong with your taste buds for sure ;P
What about a nice quiche or tart for dinner? Sounds good, right? Better than order a pizza or take out from the asian restaurant around the corner :P
I can hear somebody saying in the back “…but I get my food much faster with them!” Well – not really. At least not all the time ;) My pizza service or the sushi restaurant sometimes need more than an hour to deliver…. so?! Let’s make a delicious tart with fennel and coconut. If you do some preparations ahead of time, this one is done even faster…
If you live in Germany there is no way to get past it right now. Asparagus is everywhere and I am pretty happy about it to be honest ;) These tartlets here are made with green asparagus and wild garlic – very good combination!
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
