Every celebration needs a big cake – or several small cakes. Something delicious and indulging. If you are a fan of chocolate and/or popcorn, I think I got something for you: my delicious Chocolate Caramel Popcorn Cupcakes. Delicious mini chocolate cakes meet chocolate buttercream, caramel and sweet popcorn. They do not only sound good, in my opinion, they also look great (in my opinion)… ;)
We love cupcakes here, even though I have the feeling they have fallen out of favor with a lot of people in recent years. I still think these little cakes are delicious and somewhat practical. They are super easy to decorate, everyone gets their own little cake and nobody has to fight about who gets the biggest – they are all the same. In theory. Of course, there could also be riots if these delicious Blueberry Cupcakes are on the table and there are more people in the room than cupcakes. That’s a disaster in the making ;P
Winter is the time for baked apples. They are everywhere – at least here in Germany. I don’t know why, but in summer we eat pretty much the same but call it apple compote or something else ;P Well… these here are Apple Crumble Cupcakes. You could also call them Baked Apple Cupcakes or Apple Compote Cupcakes – no matter what name you give them they are very delicious ;)
Give me a cupcake and I’m happy. I’m not sure why exactly they make me happy – maybe it’s the smaller size, the fact that everyone can get an individual cake and there is no need to share… or maybe just because there are so many delicious options to chose from ;P Well, these Salted Caramel Cupcakes are definitely in my »Top 10« of the best cupcakes in existence ;) I know that’s a bold statement but just try them – I am pretty sure you will agree with me as soon as you had one. And btw – these delicious little cakes are also vegan. Almost forgot to mention that.
As far as baking goes, I’m a huge Halloween nerd. I just love spilling berry juice all over the place for this “holiday” so everything looks like it’s been smeared with blood. I’m not a fan of Halloween parties, I don’t like dressing up for Halloween and horror movies aren’t really my thing either…. but fake “blood” everywhere me likey like! Is that weird? ;P
If you have guests over for an Easter breakfast, brunch, or a coffee in the afternoon there is normally a lot to do. You got to prepare food, decorate the place, hide eggs or small gifts, and in the end also make yourself presentable ;P In cases like that, it’s good to know how to save some time here and there. For example, instead of preparing several different desserts for your guests, you make some simple cupcakes. They can all look different and taste different but are all made with the same basic recipe. If you want to know how to do that, you should keep reading ;P
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
