In recent years, it has become quite popular to combine different baked goods and create something new. Be it a combination of croissant and donut (Cronut), donut and muffin (Duffin), or muffin and waffle (Muffle)… all Frankenstein pastries ;) With these Duo Chocolate Chip Cookies, I’m taking a slightly different approach. I’m combining two different cookies in one. Very simple. One side tastes like brownies and the other like salted caramel ;P
My grandma always said »I’m only here for the cake and the good vibes«. When I was a kid I did not understand, but now I totally get it ;P When you serve cake the mood of everyone normally gets much better. Immediately. That’s why I like to serve cake! Something like these Mini Chocolate & Caramel Cakes. Even though they are »mini cakes« you might want to share them with a loved one – they are normally a bit much for just one person ;P
If you are a chocoholic, your heart might have just skipped a beat looking at this delicious Coffee Cocoa Mousse Chocolate Cake. At least that’s what happens to me every time a cake like that is right in front of me ;) It’s an absolute showstopper with loads of chocolate. Layers of scrumptious coffee chocolate cake and in between a rich and creamy coffee cocoa chocolate mousse. So good!
Give me a cupcake and I’m happy. I’m not sure why exactly they make me happy – maybe it’s the smaller size, the fact that everyone can get an individual cake and there is no need to share… or maybe just because there are so many delicious options to chose from ;P Well, these Salted Caramel Cupcakes are definitely in my »Top 10« of the best cupcakes in existence ;) I know that’s a bold statement but just try them – I am pretty sure you will agree with me as soon as you had one. And btw – these delicious little cakes are also vegan. Almost forgot to mention that.
Bagels are a delicious option for breakfast and lunch. On days when I am too lazy to cook, I also like them for dinner. They are great and you can top them with so many things! Bagels are also great for a party or a buffet… if you bake them a bit smaller than usual ;) Regular-sized bagels are probably not the best finger food – but these Mini “Everything” Bagels are definitely great for that. Especially, when topped with some cream cheese and smoked salmon… so good!
How about a little refreshment in the form of a dessert? Sounds good, does it? With this lemon & buttermilk dessert in a glass, you get the body temperature certainly (*cough*) lowered by a minimum of one degree – provided, of course, it is well chilled in advance and then enjoyed directly from the fridge ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
