If you want to spend less time in the kitchen but you still like to cook, you’ve almost certainly heard of “meal prep”, right? Instead of cooking each day of the week you take some time on one day and prepare all meals for the week in one go. This Sausage & Bacon Ragù with White Beans and Polenta is not an explicit meal prep recipe, but if you make a big pot, you can use the ragù as a base for several other recipes. Meals for several days of the week with little to no effort.
Happy World Vegetarian Day! Today is the International Day for Vegetarian Food. “A day to promote the joy, compassion and life-enhancing possibilities of vegetarianism” ;) Anyway. To celebrate this special day I made a delicious vegetarian dish. You might expect something baked here since this is mainly a baking blog… but no. Today I made something delicious you can enjoy for dinner (or lunch – whatever you prefer): Mushroom Bourguignon with Polenta! Soulfood without any kind of meat ;)
Summertime is the ultimate time for fruits like oranges and lemons. They are used in many cakes, cookies and stuff like that. I made some really nice Lemon & Rosemary Cookies the other day – you should try them! Delicious and refreshing. This recipe for Polenta Biscuits today is equally delicious and made with mandarin oranges (tangerine) – another citrus fruit I like to use in summer.
My first draft for this article was a bit rough. I called the cake you can see an “accident” which is not true. The story of this cake is not based on an accident – it is based on stupidity. My own stupidity… ;) Let me tell you why. But first, take a look at this delicious Lemon Ricotta Polenta Cake with Cherries and try not to drool on your mobile or your keyboard :P
This might not be the prettiest cake I ever made but it’s definitely one of the most delicious ones ;) I love this Blueberry Polenta Upside Down Cake! It’s so good! Great texture, not too sweet and great flavors. Another good thing: the ingredients I used are more suitable for my new diet. Means I can eat this one here as well. Not too much but at least a piece. Yay! ;))
If there was a certain “type” of cake that is popular in our household, then I would say it’s polenta cake. No cheesecake, no cupcakes – nope – it’s polenta cake! If you ever made a cake like that, you probably understand why ;))
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
