Peach Cobbler Cake – The perfect Summer Cake!

Summer is the time to enjoy good weather and warm temperatures out in your garden or a park, along with something nice to drink and eat. Am I right?! I am not particularly picky here. Give me a beer and some chips or coffee and a cake – I’ll take anything ;P However, I have to say I prefer something delicious like this Peach Cobbler Cake along with a coffee in the afternoon over alcohol and savory snacks. You don’t want to be drunk before the sun sets… something that can easily happen if you drink and the temperatures are higher ;P

Easy Peasy Homemade Pickled Gherkins

If you have a garden at home, you will certainly have planted cucumbers – at least once. Right?! Cucumbers are really uncomplicated plants that don’t require a lot of attention. We have often grown them in large flower pots and been successful every time. So much success that we have even been able to make Homemade Pickled Gherkins several times already. What could be better than being able to use your own vegetables for something like that ;)

What could be better than a big load of delicious cherries packed between two layers of crispy pastry with some ice cream or vanilla sauce on top? Not much, right? ;) A Classic Cherry Pie is hard to beat. One of the best treats you can serve in summer. An absolute rock star when it comes to pies!

Salad can be prepared all year round, but in summer it’s a particularly practical meal to prepare. Simple ingredients, easy to toss together, and quick on the table. Easy to digest as well. There is nothing worse than digesting fatty food or a carb-loaded meal on a hot summer night. All that »heavy« stuff is for winter when nobody cares to fall into a food coma ;P This delicious Greek-ish Salad will not keep you up all night for sure ;P

Give me a colorful and delicious salad, and I am happy. There is nothing better in summer. Salads are healthy and normally not too complicated to prepare. The latter does not quite apply to this Summer Salad with Roasted Quinoa & Chickpeas, to be honest. Well, at least not fully. Compared to a simple tomato salad you have to do several steps more to get this salad on the table… but it’s definitely worth the extra work. Roasting the quinoa and chickpeas before adding to the salad makes a great difference ;)

Peaches ‘n’ Berries Summer Cobbler

There are so many delicious things you can make for dessert. The choice can be quite overwhelming, to be honest. If you are as indecisive as me sometimes, I recommend trying this simple Peaches ‘n’ Berries Summer Cobbler and serving it with some ice cream on top. It’s an extremely tasty dessert that can be prepared in no time at all and doesn’t require fancy ingredients. Most of them can be found in your kitchen cabinets I assume – with one small exception maybe ;)
