For today’s Cookie Friday I have…. well, not really cookies to be honest. Or can I call them cookies? Probably. I made delicious biscotti – or maybe no biscotti? I guess you noticed, I have quite some trouble to find a definition for these little fellas aka. Chocolate Ginger Biscotti ;)
I hope you are all enjoying Christmastime this year! Make yourself comfortable on the sofa with a cup of tea and some Christmas cookies… or maybe with a slice of Christmas Stollen? In case you got some Stollen leftover, you might want to take a look at these delicious Christstollen Trifles with Mulled Wine Plums. There is so much you can do with a classic Stollen besides just munching on it on the sofa. ;P
Another month passed by since Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte and I made the last “Bake together – The Baking Surprise”… time goes by so quickly!
There are things that make you think »I can’t do that« or »that’s too complicated for me«. In moments like these, you just have to overcome your inner demons. At least sometimes. That’s what happened here with this Winter Chocolate Cake with Fondant Decorations. All that decorations stuff is not really my thing, but you should try everything at least once in life, right?! ;P
These scones with a hot chocolate or tea, when it’s cold outside – hard to beat. Too bad they are all gone already, cause it just started snowing again outside :P
If you are coming from the South of Germany, you are quite used to get cake for Three Kings, but here in Berlin, you have to make it yourself. I was the other day in a bakery around the corner, and they did not even know that kind of cake :P In Spain you can also get a cake for this holiday – it’s called Roscón de Reyes and a bit different to the German version ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
