Christmas Stollen is an essential part of Christmas – similar to bratwurst and mulled wine at the Christmas market. You could not eat/drink it, but the market would be only half as good. ;P We usually bake Stollen quite early in December, or even at the end of November, because it needs a long time to develop the right flavors and texture.
