Do you like soup? We do, but to be honest, we prefer soups that have a lot of stuff added. A homemade potato soup, chicken soup or this Simple & Easy Hungarian Goulash Soup, for example. A delicious dish my family always loved to prepare when it’s colder outside. Give us a clear soup with just a noodle or two, and you will see only sad faces. ;P
There are sweet snacks you should always have when entertaining people at home. These simple and easy Black and White Cookies (we call them Bunte Amerikaner) are prefect for any type of celebration. No matter whether it’s a birthday party (for kids), a carnival gathering or whatever. If you want some colorful snacks, make these little cakes and be generous with the rainbow sprinkles! ;P

I have the feeling a lot of people are a bit afraid of yeast bakes. We are also not doing them all the time, but mostly because they take so long to finish. Yeast bakes are actually not really complicated. ;P This German Mohnstriezel aka. Braided Loaf with Poppy Seed & Streusels is no exception here. Not really complicated, but you have to count in long waiting times. We don’t like to wait long, but what can you do… it is what it is (they say). ;P
Anyone who has ever tasted Dulce de leche will agree that it’s perfect for filling sandwich cookies. The best example here, are Alfajores with Dulce de leche. Perfection in miniature. We love the caramel cream together with the crumbly cookie – it’s such a nice and sweet treat! In case you never tried… it’s about time! ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
