Let’s heat up the grill once more. It’s still warm and not raining right now, so let’s do this. Tomorrow it could be snowing already ;)

Today I have a really easy recipe for you – bread you can make on a grill or in a pan. Who does not need some bread when having a BBQ with friends or family – this bread can be done easily while you are preparing the other stuff… when everything else is ready, you can throw the bread on the grill first and in a matter of minutes, you have nice bread for your salad or meat.
The bread is something for bread baking beginners. Unlike other bread, this one does not need a day to prepare, rise or whatever – this is an easy one. You can’t compare it with a homemade sourdough bread, to be honest, but it’s still good and tasty. I like it a lot. You can even make sandwiches with it or use it as burger buns ;)

With this bread, I normally serve some homemade herb butter. Spread it on the warm bread and you won’t eat anything else. Carbs will turn into your best friends ;P
INGREDIENTS / ZUTATEN
For the bread:
1 1/4 cups (300ml) lukewarm water
1.5 oz. (42g) fresh yeast
pinch of sugar
17.6 oz. (500g) all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter, at room temperature
some olive oil to brush the bread
For the herbs butter:
8.8 oz. (250g) butter, at room temperature
fresh herbs (parsley, basil, chive, rosemary, etc.)
1-2 cloves of garlic
sea salt, pepper
Für die Fladenbrote:
300ml lauwarmes Wasser
1 Würfel frische Hefe (42g)
Prise Zucker
500g Mehl (Type 405)
1/2 TL Salz
1 EL weiche Butter
Olivenöl zum Bestreichen
Für die Kräuerbutter:
250g weiche Butter
1 Bund frische Kräuter (Petersilie, Basilikum, Schnittlauch, Rosmarin etc.)
1-2 Knoblauchzehe(n)
Meersalz, Pfeffer

DIRECTIONS / ZUBEREITUNG
2. For the herb butter wash the herbs and dry with a kitchen paper, chop finely. Peel the garlic and cut finely. Mix all with the butter (works best with a fork), season with the salt and pepper. Store in the fridge until needed.
3. Heat up the bbq or a griddle pan. Cut the dough into 8 equal pieces and form into flat bread. Brush with some olive oil and place on the grill/pan. Cook/fry for about 3 minutes, brush with olive oil and turn over, cook/fry for another 3 minutes.
