Are you ready for Christmas? Everything planned for your Christmas Dinner? If not… I might have something that would be a nice dessert :) These Candy Cane Cupcakes are easy to prepare and really delicious!
What are your favorite Christmas Cookies? The classic ones? Here in Germany, the most common Christmas Cookies are probably easy biscuit cookies, sandwich cookies and cinnamon stars – all recipes you can already find on my blog ;) This year I decided to make a batch of new cookies: Orange Pecan Chocolate Cookies! Really nice ones! They earned a spot on the “must bake list” for next Christmas and the ones following!
There are some recipes everyone who loves to bake should know… a simple cake recipe that works as a loaf cake as well as a base for layered cakes, a simple yeast dough for braided loaves or brioche, a creamy buttercream recipe for cakes and cupcakes, maybe a brownie recipe, an easy bread recipe and of course a good cheesecake recipe! ;) Everybody loves cheesecake, so this is always a good choice if you need a cake.
I wanted to do something with candy eyes for quite some time. I had some leftovers from my Halloween Monster Cookies and I did not want them to go bad. You know – an open bag of eyes does not stay fresh for too long… juuuust kidding ;) A friend of mine was asking for funny Christmas cookies, so I made these Double Chocolate Speculoos Reindeer Cookies. That’s all ;)
Are you a fan of yeast dough or are you on team “I hate that kind of dough because it does whatever it wants but not what I want”? ;) I baked a lot with yeast in my life, so I actually like it. It’s not working perfectly everytime, but let’s say most of the time. This pull-apart bread with poppy seeds and pudding definitely worked really well…
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
