More is more – sometimes. Even though I tend to live by the motto »less is more«, this doesn’t apply to cookies. These NY Style Biscoff Filled Chocolate Cookies are a lot, but also brilliant. Big, chunky, sweet, and delicious! I guess you should not eat too many of them, but one of them once in a while is ok ;P
We are baking Christmas cookies pretty much every year, and some of them we do over and over again. The classics, you could say. We have a bunch of Christmas cookies we do constantly with the same old recipe that has been used for decades. But we also got cookies that are based on classics, but kind of »reinterpreted« from time to time. These Biscoff Thumbprint Cookies aka. Engelsaugen, for example. They are based on a classic recipe for Engelsaugen with jam filling, but here the filing is delicious Biscoff spread. So good!
I love baking Gugelhupf aka. bunst cakes. They are not particularly exciting compared to other highly decorated cakes, to be honest, but for me, they are perfect. So easy to make, and I just love the shape. »Less is more« is something that applies here for sure ;) This Nut & Biscoff Gugelhupf may look a bit simple (and for some probably boring) – I can understand that – but the flavors are sooo god! Absolutely delicious!
Christmas and Christmas cookies go together like a Christmas tree and the presents underneath. One would only be half as good without the other ;) Baking the same Christmas cookies every year is a bit boring though. That’s why I love to adapt classic recipes from time to time. Like I did with these Chocolate Biscoff Speculoos Spitzbuben. Based on classic sandwich cookies with a jam filling these cookies here got a little update with chocolate and Biscoff spread. So good. ;)
They may not be a standard for breakfast, but in my opinion, popovers are perfect for breakfast or brunch. Especially if there is a larger group at the table. These Easy Biscoff Popovers are the perfect sweet treat in between or the perfect end to a brunch. Easy to prepare and quick to decorate. Never work more than absolutely necessary in the kitchen ;P
A plain banana bread as it is, is already a great bake. But why not add more? I am thinking of something like chocolate and caramel… or maybe Nutella and Biscoff spread? Yeah… that sounds good ;) This Nutella Biscoff Banana Bread is simply delicious. A lot of great flavors combined in one scrumptious banana bread that’s super easy to prepare.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
