Ok folks – grab some coconuts, one of that skirts made out of palm leaves and maybe one or two cocktails. I am bringing the cake or better said pie. Let’s have a tropical themed party! You might have to turn on the heaters, but that’s ok, right? ;)

Hi everyone! I’ve got another gust on my blog today to help me out with my blog event RE•CREATE: Stephanie from Meine Küchenschlacht is taking over today and showing one of her recipes she made once more for the blog event. Delicious little apple pies baked in a glass jars. Sounds great, right? You can count me in for sure! :)
Some of you might know that I’ve lived for some time in the US. More precisely in Florida. That information might have slipped here and there into a conversation (or blog post) I think ;P
One thing I brought home from Florida – besides several oversized pieces of luggage – is my love for everything baked like cupcakes, cookies or pies from the US. One of my all-time favorites is Florida’s state pie: the Key Lime Pie! Soooo goood!
It’s the season for rhubarb! Yaaaaay! Finally! :) If you have to wait almost a whole year for something to come back, it is soooo good when it finally happens! So let’s start right away, so we can enjoy it as long as possible!
In today’s recipe, I combined the rhubarb with Granny Smith apples – a really good match I’ve to say. Grab a plate if you want a slice of this delicious Rhubarb Apple Pie. I’m pretty sure it will be gone soon! ;)
