We love simple pasta dishes! An easy sauce, some meat and/or veggies, the pasta and then some grated cheese on top – that’s enough to make anyone of us happy. Many people swear by a simple tomato sauce, but there are other ways to create something tasty. This Pasta with Salsiccia & Savoy Cabbage has been given a simple carbonara-style sauce. Super easy to prepare and extremely tasty! The perfect weeknight dinner!
Autumn and winter are the seasons for everything cabbage, right?! Cabbage is a typical winter veggie, because that’s what we can grow in the colder regions. Well – these days you don’t have to limit yourself to cabbage and potatoes in winter, because pretty much everything else is also available in supermarkets all year round. So different from what our (great) grandparents experienced. Back then, cabbage was king! Even though not everyone’s a big fan, you can do a lot of delicious dishes and bakes with cabbage. For example, this simple Galette with Brussels Sprouts, Ricotta & Blue Cheese – so good! We love it, and it’s the perfect treat on a cold and rainy day! Really – extremely delicious!
Anyone who has ever made cabbage rolls will know that it takes time to prepare them. If got that time at hand – no problem! If not, well… there is a quicker way: Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls! Also known as Lazy Cabbage Rolls. ;P They are so good and tasty and really easy to prepare. I am sure you will love them (as much as we do)!
I got a lot of classic dishes I love to eat but do not necessarily love to make all the time. These delicious Savoy Cabbage Rolls (German Kohlrouladen) are definitely in that category. Everyone loves them here, but not so much when it comes to prepare them, to be honest. We only make them for special occasions or if someone asks really nicely. ;P

As soon as the days get longer in spring and the temperatures rise there is one question that comes up instantly: »When do we do our first BBQ of the season?«. A legitimate question, in my opinion ;) Even though we have a nice indoor grill we can use all year round for grilling meat and veggies, doing it outside on a proper grill is so much better, isn’t it? Something you need on the side with your grilled meat or veggies (no matter if you did it inside or outside on the terrace) – is a nice salad. I think we can all agree. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
