As far as baking goes, I’m a huge Halloween nerd. I just love spilling berry juice all over the place for this “holiday” so everything looks like it’s been smeared with blood. I’m not a fan of Halloween parties, I don’t like dressing up for Halloween and horror movies aren’t really my thing either…. but fake “blood” everywhere me likey like! Is that weird? ;P
Halloween is coming up soon. We are not decorating anything and we are also not throwing a party… but we like to bake spooky stuff. Simply because it’s fun! Today I’ve given delicious Cheesecake on Sticks a little makeover. Anyone can decorate them beautifully with colorful sprinkles, berries, and fruits. I used gravestones, caught some spiders, and cut open some brains for my decorations. Muharrharr… ;P
Cheesecakes are always a good idea when you are expecting guests – almost everyone likes them. But you can bake them even without expecting anyone. Make them just for yourself. This Basque Cheesecake (aka. Burnt Cheesecake) here with chocolate is one of those candidates you don’t want to share anyway. So it’s fine to make one only for yourself ;P
Summer is the season for fresh fruits and berries. If you can get all that fresh from the farmer’s market it’s a must to make something with it, right?! ;) Right now we’re in plum season – this means, of course, you got to bake something with plums. Normally, we would make a big tray of plum streusel cake to celebrate plums and the start of the season but this year decided to bake something different. A delicious Damson Plum Poppy Seed (Streusel) Cheesecake. A great combination in my opinion. Isn’t it? ;)
Classic plain cheesecakes have a lot of fans I think. They taste delicious, they are (hopefully) super creamy and great as a dessert or sweet snack whenever you need something to indulge yourself ;) There are also cheesecakes that are a bit more “special”. Can you imagine making your cheesecake with potatoes? Well… it’s actually something that is “a thing”. Best example: this delicious Potato Cheesecake with Raspberries & Blueberries (and meringue topping). Sounds interesting, right? ;)
Can I be honest with you? I think Biscoff cookies are terrible! Why? Because they are soo delicious! Sounds like a clickbait title, but it’s true ;) The cookies taste like caramel and are super tasty, but thanks to all that added sugar they have, they are really not good for me (as a diabetic). I really have to hold myself back here. Same for this delicious Biscoff Cheesecake here. I would love to jump right in and eat it completely by myself… but no. Not possible ;P
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
