What’s your favorite dessert when you need something quick and don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen? Right, a layered dessert. Well… at least that is my favorite thing to do ;) Like this one here with fresh strawberries, cookies, and müsli bars to give it the right amount of crunch!
What is your opinion about rhubarb? Yay or nay? Do you like it? Well… I am a big fan of it. Huge fan. The biggest fan in the world (would Trump say I suppose). No really – I like it a lot ;) You could say “Rhubarb was my first love”… and then came raspberries. That is one reason, why I am using it right now as often as possible. The rhubarb season is short, so (almost) every day has to be used to make something with it! Cakes, bread, scones, dumplings… everything tastes better with some rhubarb. So does this layered dessert with chocolate biscotti and a rhubarb-raspberry compote!
Are you a fan of Tiramisù? I love this classic Italian dessert! It is so delicious! That is one of the reasons why I decided to make these Tiramisù Cupcakes the first recipe ever, to appear on my blog :) That was three years ago – now it was time to re-create this recipe.
How are you doing so shortly after Easter? Did you eat a lot? Well… I guess there is always room for a last slice of cake, right? Maybe a delicious hazelnut cake with nougat and mascarpone? Yeah… gimme that plate. Not many slices left this time ;)
If there was a certain “type” of cake that is popular in our household, then I would say it’s polenta cake. No cheesecake, no cupcakes – nope – it’s polenta cake! If you ever made a cake like that, you probably understand why ;))
Is there anything you can do, if you cookie leftovers? Yes I know…. cookies leftover, haha. Good one ;P Something like that is not happening – at least not in my world. But let’s assume there are cookies and nobody has eaten them yet (hypothetically). What can you do? Well… Very easy solution: Make a Cookie Torte! Bazinga! ;P
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
