Are there people out there that want to try an awful cheesecake? I mean awfully delicious cheesecake ;P (Not sure if that joke works in English as well as it does in German). Well. Anyway. This White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake is a real treat. You could almost say “unfortunately, a real treat” because your hips will not be happy if you eat too much of this. Great flavors, great creamy texture but also loads of calories! Normally, I can control myself with cakes… but this one here is really difficult because you basically want to inhale it after the first little bite ;P
In summer I really love to use all the fresh fruits and berries in my bakes – strawberries, cherries, or raspberries – all so good. But to be honest, raspberries have always been my favorites. The flavors are incredible… if they had enough sun and warmth to grow properly ;) Strawberries and cherries are great, but raspberries top everything. I wish I had a big raspberry bush in my garden, then I could constantly bake cakes like this Ricotta Raspberry Cake. Well, in summer at least. In winter it gets a bit difficult even with your own raspberry bush ;P
I am a big fan of raspberries. I could eat them all day long. The perfect sweet little snack. Wherever you throw them on top – on a bake, a smoothie bowl, or whatever – everything will be instantly more delicious. That’s a fact ;P This Raspberry Coconut Mousse Tart actually does not need raspberries on top because there are a lot of them already in the mousse… but it will not hurt if you add a lot of raspberries to decorate the tart. They are not only delicious, but they also look nice ;)
I was actually already done with all my Christmas cookies this year, but then I saw on a TV show how someone ate rugelach and I immediately had to get out a friend’s recipe and quickly bake me some Raspberry Rugelach. Whoever said that television has a bad influence on us… was absolutely right! Just kidding! ;P
Today’s recipe is a German classic. A delicious dessert which has been made in a thousand different versions, I assume – probably all of them super delicious ;) I decided to make my Bavarian Cream aka. Bayerische Creme today with loads and loads of berries on top. As soon as fresh berries and fruits are available from local farmers on our farmer’s market I have to buy them and use them in as many bakes and desserts as possible… the season is way too short to waste any time ;P
