In spring this year I bought a little raspberry bush for our terrace – hoping we could harvest so many raspberries so I could make maybe a cake or raspberry scones like these ones here… but well – this dream did not come true! Not at all. That’s why I had to get some from the farmers market for baking. So sad ;(
On a hot summer day, the oven normally stays off in my kitchen. If possible. It can get really hot in my apartment and adding more heat from an oven would be just too much ;) No-bake cakes are a great option on days like that. Normally pretty easy to prepare and made mostly by the fridge. Even though those fridge cakes are the easiest way to get something sweet, there is much more to make in summer. To show you what I like the most, I put a list together with my Top 10 recipes for summer ;)
It’s cheesecake time! Last week we celebrated Cheesecake Day – well the world did, I totally forgot about that day (shame on me). I could have posted this delicious Berry Cheesecake on that day since the recipe was done for some time already, but hey… every day can be Cheesecake Day! No matter if in spring, summer, fall or winter ;)) So let’s get the plates ready, I get a knife and we can start enjoying this beauty together…
We are right in the middle of the rhubarb season! If you walk down the rows at the farmers market you basically get those red-green stalks thrown into your face :P Well… almost. So why not collect all of that rhubarb and make something delicious? A rhubarb cake for example? I might have a nice recipe for you in case you wanna do that :P
I have to admit it – these are not the most beautiful cookies in the world. They might not win the “Miss Cookie of the Universe” title, but they are definitely among the most delicious cookies I have ever made! The combination of raspberries and Oreos in these Cookies’n’Cream Cookies is the best! Ever! ;)
It’s rhubarb season! Yay! End of March, the beginning of April it’s finally back – my most favorite veggie: rhubarb! As soon as I see these red/green stalks in supermarkets or on the farmers market, my mood is immediately better. Rhubarb makes the world a better place. Especially when used in cookies like these here: Rhubarb Raspberry Cookies. So good! ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
