This cake might look not very fancy, but it is definitely worth making! It is so damn delicious! The flavors from the orange and almonds are so good together! This Almond & Orange Cake is gone in no time every time I make it. ;) I wished that all loaf cakes were that good and delicious…

If you like chocolate as much as I do, you are probably one of those persons, that cannot resist a good chocolate cake. When I’m in line at a coffee shop to get a coffee, I can always hear the chocolate cakes on the counter saying to me “Hey there! I know you want me!” ;P
Easter is over – let’s get back to business ;) I hope you had a good time and you could spend some nice days with your family or friends – of course, only within the allowed limits and restrictions. Don’t forget those 6 feet distance at the dinner table ;) Easter was very quiet for us this year, but I was able to bake a few things… which none of them will end up on this blog here ;) This delicious (Keto) Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake here was made some time before Easter and did not survive until the weekend. Well… in case you still have problems organizing flour, you can try this cake here. No flour needed – almonds are used as a substitute here.

It’s “Bake Together” time again! At the end of each month, Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte and I both publish a new recipe based on the same topic. This month we’ve chosen a quite unusual ingredient to use in our bakes: parsnip. That white root works well in sweet and savory bakes. Like beetroot or zucchini. I was thinking about something sweet but ended up with a Parsnip Pumpkin Seed Protein Bread. Choices. ;)

I got a fresh batch of cookies for you today!! Happy Cookie Friday! Yay! Some of you might be a bit surprised about the ingredients in these cookies. Not the common chocolate chip cookie but I can promise these Almond Tahini Cookies are really delicious. Also slightly healthier than other cookies cause they are made without sugar. And also vegan. Good, right?! :)

I had a lot to do lately. It seemed there was a pile of work hidden in every corner. In general that is nothing bad – I like it, when I’m busy. Especially when working as a freelancer – if you have a lot clients and projects, you can choose and do the things you like the most ;) Even though that is nice, you still need a break from time to time, some time for yourself, to recharge and fell good… otherwise the battery will be empty at some point.
I am not the only one that thinks a break from time to time is important I suppose. I got a nice little surprise from Schär the other day – a little “Feel Good Box” they call it. Guess they wanted me to take that break I needed ;))
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
