We love delicious meals prepared in a wok. Throw in some veggies, chicken, or ground meat, plenty of soy sauce, and other spices… and you got yourself a delicious meal almost instantly. This Chicken Teriyaki with Bell Peppers, Bok Choy & Rice is no exception here. Quick and easy. Replace the rice with noodles and you got yourself a nice pasta dish. ;P

There are dishes you try once and immediately fall in love with. That was the case with this delicious (Hungarian) Chicken Paprikash. Tender chicken meat and an extremely tasty paprika sauce – together with noodles or some rice, an absolute stunner! In case never heard of Paprikash and want to try something new, you should definitely take a closer look at this recipe… and then cook it, of course! ;P

Do you like soup? We do, but to be honest, we prefer soups that have a lot of stuff added. A homemade potato soup, chicken soup or this Simple & Easy Hungarian Goulash Soup, for example. A delicious dish my family always loved to prepare when it’s colder outside. Give us a clear soup with just a noodle or two, and you will see only sad faces. ;P
As a child, the story of the »Suppenkaspar« (a cautionary tale from an old German children’s book) would have been absolutely spot on for me. Kaspar did not like soup, neither did I. Luckily my mom made other food as well. My dislike for soup has changed a little over the years. It’s not a 360° turn, because I still do not like a clear soup (which is basically just flavored water), but it’s much better now. Place a bowl of flavorful soup with loads of stuff innit in front of me… I’m all in! Something like this easy Chorizo & White Bean Soup, for example. An absolute favorite in our house for many years already. I think this would have brought Kaspar to the table as well. Poor chap! ;)

You eat with your eyes first, right?! That’s definitely something that applies to me. I like colorful dishes, meals with a lot of veggies that are bright and vibrant. Stuff like this Sweet ‘n’ Spicy Chicken with Veggies & Coconut Rice. What’s not to love here?! One look, and you know it’s going to be good. That’s what I want from my food! ;)

When I think of Stuffed Bell Peppers with Rice & Meat, it somehow always brings back childhood memories. This dish has been a dinner favorite in our family. Probably because it is quite easy to prepare and doesn’t require much effort. My mum (like all of us) never really wanted to spend a lot of time in the kitchen after work. Nowadays, you can have all sorts of meals delivered to your home… back then, you were not able to eat anything if you did not cook yourself. Yes, I am that old. I grew up in a time without delivery services ;P

Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
