Happy Cookie Friday! The week comes to an end (finally) and it is time to bake some cookies! Cookies? Well – one cookie :P
Yes – this is really a cookie. The size got a bit out of hand I have to admit :P Just kidding. It is called cookie pizza or cookie cake. I prefer the term cookie pizza – sounds more fun – and to be honest – it does look much more like a pizza, than a cake ;)

I have seen this kind of oversized cookies all over the internet and Instagram and I am not surprised – they look awesome and are so easy to make! Means: I HAD TO MAKE one myself for #CookieFriday. Enough of the good old “mini” cookies for this week – let’s make a big one!
All you have to do is take your favorite cookie recipe – in my case a chocolate chip cookie recipe – grab a large pizza pan and get started. The topping is an easy chocolate ganache and a lot of sweets and chocolates. And tadaaaa: a supersized cookie!

The cookie pizza is perfect for a party – no matter if you have children or adults as guests. If you have kids over, you can actually make the cookie pizza with them – it’s a lot of fun and I bet they gonna love it!
Have a great weekend!
INGREDIENTS / ZUTATEN
3/4 cup (170g) butter
1 1/4 cup (150g) sugar
pinch of salt
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups (175g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup (150g) chocolate chips
For the decoration:
7 oz. (200g) milk chocolate
1/3 cup (80g) heavy cream
sweets like jelly beans, chocolate cookies, smarties etc.
170g Butter
150g Zucker
Prise Salz
1 Ei (L)
1 tsp. Vanille Extrakt
175g Mehl (Type 405)
1 TL Backpulver
150g Schokoladendrops
Für die Dekoration:
200g Vollmilchschokolade
80g Sahne
Süßigkeiten wie z.B. Jelly Beans, Hanuta, Duplo, Smarties usw.

DIRECTIONS / ZUBEREITUNG
2. In a large bowl mix the butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix in well. Add the vanilla extract and mix in. In a second bowl mix flour with baking powder and then add to the large bowl and mix in until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Transfer the dough to the prepared cookie pizza pan and smooth out the top (works best with a spatula). Bake for 15-20 minutes – the cookie should get a nice golde color, but do not over-bake! It should be still a bit soft in the center. Take out of the oven and let cool down completely.
3. Chop the chocolate coarsly and add to a bowl. Heat up the heavy cream in a small saucepan until small bubbles appear on the surface. Pour over the chopped chocolate and let sit for about 2-3 minutes, then stir until all is well combined and you have a nice smooth ganache. Pour over the cooled cookie – make sure you go to the edges of the cookie. Let cool down a bit, then cut 8 slices into the cocolate and decorate each slice with different sweets or chocolate pieces.
