There are times when you are craving something sweet, but there is nothing sweet in your cabinets. If you stopped »hoarding« sweets and chocolate as I did, this is actually a very likely situation ;P Luckily, I normally got everything at home to bake something sweet. Something sweet and easy like these Banana & Walnut Muffins. Mixed together in a few minutes and baked just as quickly. Faster than any delivery service could bring you chocolate… I assume. Definitely cheaper ;P
You don’t always need a big cake or a pie if you are craving something sweet. Sometimes a plain muffin is all you need. By “plain” I do not mean “boring”. These Double Chocolate Berry Muffins are far from boring. They are the perfect sweet treat for all the chocolate lovers out there. Conveniently, these little fellas are ready in no time. What more could you want? ;)
It’s time again for a new “Bake Together – The Baking Surprise” with Andrea Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte. Once a month we get together (virtually) and create something based on a topic we’ve chosen in advance – not knowing what the one on the other end of Germany (we live far from each other) is doing. This month it’s all about fruity muffins. You probably noticed that already when you saw these Jumbo Muffins with blueberries, lemon, and poppy seeds ;P
There are recipes you make all the time and there are recipes you make once. The ones you make more often are normally the easy ones… well and the ones you like, because it’s so delicious. These Blueberry Muffins have it all. They may not be the prettiest muffins you’ve ever seen, but they taste extremely delicious and are super easy to prepare. And as they say, “It’s the inner values that count”. In this case, those “inner values” are big, juicy blueberries ;P
What’s your opinion about muffins? Do you like them? I really love them. They are normally really easy to prepare and very handy if you want to have a snack on the go. The opposite to the “fancier siblings” called cupcakes ;P Those fellas normally have a buttercream topping that makes them quite difficult to transport. They have to be carried carefully so the buttercream is not ending up all over the place and higher temperatures are also not a good idea if you got something with buttercream on top. So “yay” for muffins like these delicious Apple Cider Muffins! They might look pretty “basic” but don’t judge a book by it’s cover, right?! ;)
The season for cherries still going on here in Germany. So why not baking some more with these red little fellas? Maybe some delicious Cherry Streusel Muffins? Sounds good? They are super easy to make and go really well with a cup of coffee or tea – even on a hot summer day. So grab one, get your coffee and let’s meet on the balcony… just be careful with all the wasps outdoors. They also like these muffins a lot! ;P
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
