You might think…. something is different here. Normally I can see a picture of gorgeous baked things (thank you for the compliment) – but what the heck is this now? ;P
Don’t worry – there will be food later. First I have to tell you something – a little “behind the scenes” report about my video shoot at Kitchen Stories!
I gave you a little hint already this week on Facebook and Instagram – new things are about to happen. Things will change. Well – the earth is still rotating in the same direction, but from now on you will be able to see me (almost) live and in color! Yes, I did it – my face will be shown in videos! No need to run away screaming – even though it is Halloween today ;P
For those who do not know Kitchen Stories – it’s an app for your mobile or tablet (Android and iOS) where you can find a lot of awesome recipes – from easy to prepare dishes to more complex menus – all well explained and often with videos to show you how it is done. They have recipes from professional chefs but also from home cooks and bakers or bloggers like me. You can actually find several of my recipes in the app – and from now on even some videos where I show you how to prepare some of my bakes :)
The team from Kitchen Stories asked me some time ago if I was interested in doing some videos for the app – and of course I said yes! Without knowing what terrifying things will come…. just kidding! It all happened at the office of Kitchen Stories here in Berlin (Kreuzberg) – they have a nice huge kitchen, where they shoot the videos and pictures for their app. I wished I could move in there – they also have a room full with props (plates, bowls, wooden boards and all) – a food bloggers dream come true ;)
Now imagine me – in the middle of a bunch of people that are preparing everything for you – you don’t have to weight ingredients (yay), all was set up, utensils, machines, everything. Then they are making videos with two cameras, take pictures of you… I felt like Beyoncé in the video shoot for “Single Ladies” :P
Here is a little teaser for the upcoming videos:
Doing the baking stuff was easy – that’s what I do all the time. Talking in front of a camera for the first time was a bit weird. Fortunately I managed to get my lines in less than 300 attempts – even though if felt like I did it at least 500 times ;)
Good for you I am not talking too much in the videos – you will see mostly my hands doing all kinds of stuff – mixing, rolling, mixing, etc… ;) Why not give it a try and watch the first recipe? Tarte au citron. A good tarte au citron. Well… have fun – here is the video:
What do you think? Did you like it? Is it good? Bad? ;)
Comment here or on Youtube – tell me what you think! No comments about my fat fingers – you know the camera adds at least 5 kilos – on each finger! :P
The videos are of course also shown on the app – go and download it!
Subscribe to my Youtube Channel to see all the upcoming videos – some of them are old recipes but some are also new – well you will see… ;) If you are looking for the recipe from the video – it is also on the blog of course – have a look here: Tarte au Citron Recipe.
Well – that’s it for now – hope you still like the blog and are not scared of me :P See you soon!
Oh and Happy Halloween!
