I think most of you know banana bread in a different shape – more like a bread (who would have guessed) :P But not today. It’s time to try a smaller version – with streusel topping and walnuts. Sounds good, right?

It’s time for some cake! The last recipes have been more on the savory side of life – for example the green sandwiches or the flambéed goat cheese… that means it’s time for something sweet again! Don’t you think so too?! This delicious custard pie with cherries and streusel is perfect to bring your sweetness level back to normal :P
As soon as Damson plums are in season they have to be used in a bake. It’s impossible to pass by the fruits at a supermarket and not buy a basket full of little purple plums. ;) The first Damson plum cake of the year is usually a simple sheet cake with streusels on top, but sometimes this cake here replaces the classic: a terrific Six Spices Damson Plum Pound Cake. Thanks to the spice mix, this cake is really delicious!
