Cookies come in all sizes, all types of flavors, and are made with many different ingredients. These Simple & Easy Ricotta Rookies are perhaps a little smaller and more colorful than my usual cookies, but no less delicious! I can really recommend these little fellas! Great flavor, great texture, and they look fun too… what more could you want!? ;)
As soon as (damson) plums arrive at the farmer’s market or in the supermarket it’s time for a simple streusel cake with plums. This year, however, this delicious Damson Plum Ricotta Cake won the race and was the first cake of the »plum season«. I think it was a good decision to try something new. The cake is super easy to prepare and really delicious. It also looks really nice in my opinion – probably not everyone’s cup of tea though with all those plums on top ;P
Gooseberries are always welcome guests in our home in the summer. They are just great – there is so much you can do with them. Jam, compote, cakes, and much more. They may not be everyone’s favorite berries, but they have a lot of fans in our family. That’s why we always like to bake with them when they are in season. A delicious cake, like this Ricotta Cake with Roasted Gooseberries, for example. A great sweet treat you can serve when friends or family are coming over for a coffee in the garden or on your balcony ;)
In summer I really love to use all the fresh fruits and berries in my bakes – strawberries, cherries, or raspberries – all so good. But to be honest, raspberries have always been my favorites. The flavors are incredible… if they had enough sun and warmth to grow properly ;) Strawberries and cherries are great, but raspberries top everything. I wish I had a big raspberry bush in my garden, then I could constantly bake cakes like this Ricotta Raspberry Cake. Well, in summer at least. In winter it gets a bit difficult even with your own raspberry bush ;P
As soon as the first cherries hit the farmer’s markets, I normally get a large bag of them from the first booth I see them. Unfortunately, that is something that can’t be prevented. It’s inevitable ;) Most of the time I will eat the first cherries on the way home already. Unwashed, but who cares ;P The rest of the cherries end up in the first cherry cake of the season. Usually something simple, like this Cherry Ricotta Cake. Something that is done quickly, so we can all enjoy the first cherries immediately ;)
Today I got one of my most cooked dishes for you. Something we really cook a lot at home. Delicious pasta with broccoli and a creamy ricotta and lemon sauce – all done in one pot. If you are hungry and you want food instantly, this one-pot dish is the perfect solution! ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
