It is finally getting a bit cooler again – that means we can finally turn on the oven again without having to heat up an already warm kitchen even more. In our apartment directly under the roof, it is pretty bad in summer cause we don’t have an a/c… Well, today I got another cake that doesn’t need to be baked: a delicious Chai Rice Pudding Cake with Raspberry Topping. Delicious no matter what season or outside temperature ;)

If you need something simple and easy for your next get-together with friends or family, I suggest you take a closer look at this Semolina Berries Soufflé. It’s prepared in no time and tastes really delicious… and you’ll be able to feed a whole bunch of people at once. I love when I do not have to do much to make people “fat and happy” ;)

Today’s recipe is a German classic. A delicious dessert which has been made in a thousand different versions, I assume – probably all of them super delicious ;) I decided to make my Bavarian Cream aka. Bayerische Creme today with loads and loads of berries on top. As soon as fresh berries and fruits are available from local farmers on our farmer’s market I have to buy them and use them in as many bakes and desserts as possible… the season is way too short to waste any time ;P
Happy Cookie Friday! Yay! I tend to write this over and over again here, even though I have been repeating myself hundreds of times I guess. There are over 260 cookie recipes on this blog – at least I think so. I don’t know for sure, maybe I should count them… but it’s probably close to that number ;) Anyway. It’s Friday and that means there’s a fresh batch of cookies in the kitchen. Today I baked delicious Raspberry Cashew White Chocolate Cookies for you… such a nice combination!

The season of Lent is upon us ;) The time between Carnival and Easter is a time for many to reflect and to cut back. Not everyone stops eating altogether, but many try to (at least) eat more conscious and leave out alcohol or sweets, for example. We already turned January into “Vegan January” this year – since I am not drinking a lot or eating sweets anymore, cutting back on dairy products and meat once again seemed quite obvious ;)
My blogger colleague Andrea from Zimtkeks & Apfeltarte and I talked about this topic some time ago and decided to turn our monthly “Bake Together” into a whole week of recipes – all vegan all week long. What could be better to start this vegan week than making something nice for breakfast – the moment the week begins?! Right! So let’s get some oats soaked and some berries ready – it’s Overnight Oats Time ;)

In spring this year I bought a little raspberry bush for our terrace – hoping we could harvest so many raspberries so I could make maybe a cake or raspberry scones like these ones here… but well – this dream did not come true! Not at all. That’s why I had to get some from the farmers market for baking. So sad ;(
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
