If you’ve been here before you might have noticed already that I am a big fan of stews and soups – I love everything that can be prepared with loads of veggies (and sometimes also meat) in a big pot. Typical one-pot dishes. This stew with mushrooms, white beans, ground meat, and leeks, braised in the oven belongs in this category as well. It needs some time on the stove first but then you can place the pot in the oven and forget it for some time. But not too long or all the deliciousness will be gone ;P
I guess you are one of those people that does not want to spend much time in the kitchen preparing food. Otherwise, you would not end up here on this page with a one-pot pasta recipe ;) Well… welcome to the club! This Vegan One-Pot Pasta is delicious and does not need more than 30 minutes to be on your table, ready to eat. Sounds great, doesn’t it?
Today I got one of the most famous Italian dishes for you… and it’s not pizza. As you can see from the photos it’s Risotto alla Milanese. The delicious creamy rice dish that’s made with saffron. Many say that risotto is a bit complicated to prepare, but I can only disagree. An absolutely simple dish… just a bit time-consuming ;)
Today is “National Potato Day” in the US. Yay, right?! This might not really affect us here in Germany, but I think it can’t hurt if I do something else besides baking cakes and cupcakes from once in a while. It’s too warm anyway to bake a cake and try to frost it with buttercream right now. Let’s do something savory for a change. Baked Sweet Potatoes with Chickpeas, Spinach, and Tahini Sauce… sounds good, right? ;)
Asparagus season is in full swing. If you live in a region where asparagus is grown you can’t get away from it. As soon as they sprout up, they’re sold on every corner. I’m not complaining here – I really love asparagus ;) Whether it’s white or green, I don’t really care… it’s all delicious. But for a dish like these Spaghetti al Limone, the green asparagus is definitely better suited… the vibrant green color looks so good here ;)
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer.
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
