There are times when you are craving something sweet, but there is nothing sweet in your cabinets. If you stopped »hoarding« sweets and chocolate as I did, this is actually a very likely situation ;P Luckily, I normally got everything at home to bake something sweet. Something sweet and easy like these Banana & Walnut Muffins. Mixed together in a few minutes and baked just as quickly. Faster than any delivery service could bring you chocolate… I assume. Definitely cheaper ;P

It’s time for another banana bread. Haven’t made one in a long time. At least two weeks ;) Today I got a delicious specimen with honey, oats, and pecans. This one is considered to be slightly »healthier« than other banana bread recipes I got here on the blog. No refined sugar and wholemeal spelt flour instead of regular a/p flour. Don’t worry… it still tastes good and not »healthy« ;P
This Bread Pudding with Banana & Walnuts may look a bit boring and not very impressive at first. Seeing it at a brunch buffet I would have skipped it probably. But that would mean I would have made a great mistake ;) This bread pudding is so damn delicious! I really had to pull myself back when taking the photos and not eat everything all by myself ;P
During the pandemic banana bread had a great »revival«. Everybody made them. Of course, banana bread is around for much longer. When everyone suddenly had overripe bananas and a lot of time at hand (because they were stuck at home) banana bread was the »hot s***t« to bake ;P Today I got a slightly modified »banana bread« you could say. In the shape of a bundt cake. Bananas and peanut butter combined. Something you can bake any time of the year ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
