INGREDIENTS / ZUTATEN
4-6 candy bars (e.g. Snickers, Bounty, Mars)
3/4 cup (100g) all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120ml) milk
oil for deep frying
confectioner’s sugar for dusting
4-6 Schokoriegel (z.B. Snickers, Bounty, Mars)
100g Mehl (Type 405)
1 1/2 TL Backpulver
1/4 TL Salz
1 EL Zucker
1 Ei (M)
2 EL Butter, geschmolzen und abgekühlt
1/4 TL Vanille Extrakt
120ml Milch
Pflanzenöl zum Frittieren
Puderzucker zum Bestäuben

DIRECTIONS / ZUBEREITUNG
2. Mix the flour with baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl. Mix the egg with the melted butter, vanilla extract and half of the milk. Add to the flour mixture and mix until all is well combined – add more milk, if the batter is too thick. The conistency should be like a thick pancake batter. Set aside.
3. Add the oil to a small pot and heat up until it reaches a temperature of about 375°F (190°C). Insert a skewer into a piece of candy (try not to stick it in too deep, or you will have problems removing the skewer later) and dip it into the batter – it should be covered completely. Place in the hot oil and fry about a minute each side. Let drain on a piece of kitchen paper, dust with confectioner’s sugar and serve.
