All of you that waited for a sugar-reduced or sugar-free cookie recipe – sorry! Not today! ;) Today’s recipe is packed with good old sugar. These Cookies’n’Cream Fudge with Oreo cookies might not be the best for me right now, but that does not mean, I have to stop doing stuff like that. There are many others out there, that like this kind of sweets! I had only tiny pieces. Which was ok for me ;))
Me and the blog are in a process of finding the right balance of recipes on here. Sugar, no sugar, less sugar or sugar replacements… it’s all kind of undecided yet. It will probably a mix of “delicious and healthier” and “delicious and stuffed with fat and sugar as usual” ;) At the end, you have to decide what you want to bake – I am just giving you options. How does that sound?
Well… saying that… right now I would probably not make this kind of fudge for myself anymore. It’s delicious and sweet, but for me it has too much sugar now. But I wanted to make this fudge so badly for such a long time so I decided to go with it anyway and just make it. Chocolate fudge is so good and caramel fudge as well – if you are into that kind of stuff you will also love this one here with white chocolate and Oreo cookies.
Making fudge couldn’t be easier. You melt the chocolate with the sweetened condensed milk and throw some Oreos in. That’s it. You wait for some time and bam – fudge! I cut my cubes pretty small so I can handle the sugar – everyone else – go for it! ;) If you gift it to other people you might want to take them for a loooong walk afterward. Just to be safe and burn those extra calories off :P
INGREDIENTS / ZUTATEN
18 oz. (500g) white chocolate, chopped
14 oz. (400g) sweetened condensed milk
12-14 Oreos, chopped
500g weiße Schokolade, gehackt
1 Dose (400g) gezuckerte Kondensmilch (Milchmädchen)
12-14 Oreos, gehackt
DIRECTIONS / ZUBEREITUNG
2. Add the chopped chocolate to a microwave-safe bowl. Add the condensed milk and melt the mixture in the microwave in 20-second intervals until completely melted and smooth. Add the chopped Oreos and mix in. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin and smooth out the top. If you have some additional Oreos, you can press them into the mixture. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours until the cookies ‘n’ cream fudge is cooled and firm. Cut into 25 pieces. Store in a cool place in a box with layers of parchment paper in between the fudge pieces.
In 25 Stücke schneiden. Den Cookies ‘n’ Cream Fudge am Besten in einer Keksdose mit Papier zwischen den Lagen aufbewahren.
