One thing on my to-do-list for this year was baking more bread. Somehow id did not happen a lot so far and the list of recipes I wanted to make is still quite long ;) At least I can take one off the list today – a bread made with chia seeds and walnuts.
Guess what?! It is Cookie Friday again! Yay! What can you expect today? Plain awesome cookies. With a lot of chocolate and nuts – double chocolate and double nuts… Sounds good, right? :)

It’s a real shame that there is still no television and/or internet that lets you smell stuff. Sometimes I would love to be able to share what it smells like in my kitchen when I bake a recipe or cook something. You could immediately smell how delicious something has turned out ;) It’s no different with these Brownie Bites with Cardamom & Tangerine… they smell soooo good! You want to bite into them immediately!

I have baked a lot of banana bread already. Why? Because it’s hard to resist a good banana bread :)
There are a lot good recipes out there – packed with flavors – this recipe here is definitely a good one too. It’s made with booze ;) But that is not the only reason why it’s good. The B–B–B-Banana Bread (Browned-Butter-Bourbon) gets its flavors also from (who would have guessed) browned butter! It is that nutty flavor from the butter that makes everything better. Almost like booze :P Just kidding. But it is really a good recipe. READ MORE
Today is another classic pie in the oven. A lot of cakes and pies I’ve seen, while looking for ideas for the Apple Cake/Pie Special, have been with streusel (crumbles). What can I say – there is absolutely nothing wrong about finishing a good cake with some carbs and fat – it makes everything even better :P
If you are craving something sweet – either in between meals or after a meal – muffins are always a good idea. They are normally not too sweet and a great snack on the go. Unlike a slice of cake or cupcakes they are easy to transport. You don’t have to worry that buttercream or some filling is ending up everywhere when your bag, for example, gets tossed around when you are travelling ;) All you got to do is wrapping one of these delicious Apple Walnut & Chocolate Muffins in some paper or throw it into a container, and you are good to go.

Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
