The cherry season is in full swing! What else can you do with these little red fruits besides cherry pie or compote? How about some »classic« sweet pastries, as you would find them in almost every bakery here in Germany? Delicious Cherry Streusel Pastries aka. German Kirschtaler made with an easy quark-oil dough. After months of lockdown and not being able to meet friends and family, things are slowly changing again. Yay! You still have to be very careful, of course, but when every one of your friends and family is fully vaccinated, you could theoretically plan the next party ;) For that glorious moment, I baked a delicious Party Bread with Oven Cheese today. Crunchy little bread balls are arranged around a big bubbly oven cheese, ready for you to dip the bread into the cheese. So good! So good I probably should not invite any guests and eat everything myself? Hmmm… ;P

Fluffy yeast dough nestles around a nice vanilla custard – an absolute highlight when it comes to baking! Luckily, these little croissants are quite easy to prepare. How about a delicious snack? Anybody? I got something delicious tex-mex-style you will love. Pretty sure about that. So how about some Vegan Tostadas with Refried Beans? They are super crunchy and extremely delicious! A snack that will get you in trouble because you will not be able to stop… well, after you assembled them because that’s all on you this time ;)
Happy Cookie Friday! You might ask yourself “Where are the cookies today?” Well… I guess today’s snack option is not really a cookie. It’s a bowl of “balls”. Made with rum. Little balls with rum aka. Rum Truffles. No cookies, but definitely a nice snack option. And that’s what cookies are as well… so why not have some Easy Peasy Rum Truffles for Cookie Friday? Right! ;)
How about a quick and delicious snack/lunch/dinner option? Do you like Grilled (Panini) Sandwiches? I mean… who can say “no” to some melted cheese. Am I right? ;) Well… today I got a pretty easy to prepare grilled sandwich recipe with loads of mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and balsamic cream. Sounds familiar? Maybe because that are the main ingredients of a Caprese salad ;P
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
