There is actually not that much to tell about this cake here. The name says it all I guess: Lemon & Orange Olive Oil Cake. Thank you, and goodbye! ;P Well… there is probably a bit more to tell. About the awesome flavors and the great texture of the cake… the simplicity. Grab a slice and you will see what I mean ;P
If you’ve ever been on vacation in the US you’ll know that people there love to eat muffins for breakfast. Together with a cup of coffee, this is certainly a good option to start your day… if you’re in a hurry or want to eat your breakfast on the go. I prefer my muffins in the afternoon. One of these Cheesecake Streusel Muffin with Lemon Curd and a cup of coffee and I am happy until dinner ;)
Today I got one of my most cooked dishes for you. Something we really cook a lot at home. Delicious pasta with broccoli and a creamy ricotta and lemon sauce – all done in one pot. If you are hungry and you want food instantly, this one-pot dish is the perfect solution! ;)
Spring is officially here and also not – somehow the weather can not quite decide whether it should now be cold and wet or sunny. Well… that’s April I guess. At least here in Germany ;) Whenever the sun is not coming out it’s a good idea to get something “sunny” on the table. A delicious Buttermilk Lemon Pound Cake with Lemon Curd, for example. The colors alone say spring and sunny, right?! ;)
Happy Cookie Friday! Easter is just around the corner which means I got some Easter cookies for you today. Italian Easter Cookies to be precise. We don’t have traditional cookies for Easter here in Germany so I had to go to Italy and find something nice to bake. Lemony sweet and spring-appropriate colors – I could not ask for more ;)
Asparagus season is in full swing. If you live in a region where asparagus is grown you can’t get away from it. As soon as they sprout up, they’re sold on every corner. I’m not complaining here – I really love asparagus ;) Whether it’s white or green, I don’t really care… it’s all delicious. But for a dish like these Spaghetti al Limone, the green asparagus is definitely better suited… the vibrant green color looks so good here ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
