You eat with your eyes first, right?! That’s definitely something that applies to me. I like colorful dishes, meals with a lot of veggies that are bright and vibrant. Stuff like this Sweet ‘n’ Spicy Chicken with Veggies & Coconut Rice. What’s not to love here?! One look, and you know it’s going to be good. That’s what I want from my food! ;)

Weeknights are not the nights I want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. After a long day working I got better things to do. Cooking dinner has to be quick and easy during the week – that’s why sir-fry dishes are perfect for those evenings. All you got to do is chop some veggies, cut meat into small pieces and whip up a quick sauce. You throw all of that in a big wok (or pan) and you are pretty much done ;) These Stir-fry Veggies & Chicken with Rice are a perfect example for these type of dishes. Quickly prepared and just as quickly on your plate! Perfect ;)

When you don’t feel like cooking, something made in a casserole dish is always something you can still whip up with minimal effort ;) You throw everything into the casserole dish, add a good amount of cheese on top and then let the oven do all the work. If you want to serve a Creamy Tortellini & Chicken Gratin like this one, you’ll have to do a few more steps when preparing it, but it’s not that much tbh. Actually, still very easy to do ;P

If you take a look at the menus of American restaurants and diners you will probably notice that burgers dominate the game quite clearly. Besides the burgers, you will also get a lot of fried stuff like (loaded) fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and a lot of fried chicken. I love all of that but to be honest – I am never happy with all the fat that’s included in all this delicious stuff ;P Fortunately, you can prepare most of the deep-fried dishes with less fat in the oven or an Air Fryer. Further down you will find one of my favorite recipes to make in an Air Fryer: Chicken Tenders with Honey Mustard Dip. Crispy chicken that’s just as good as the chicken made in a deep-fryer… just much less fatty ;P

Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
