A delicious dessert doesn’t always have to be complicated – a few simple ingredients, some stirring, and you’ve got something delicious on the table. These little glass jars with Strawberry & Lemon Mascarpone Mousse are definitely from that »quick dessert« category. It doesn’t always take a three-tier layer cake to satisfy a sweet tooth. Also, better than just a piece of chocolate shoved into your mouth when you’re craving something sweet. Right? ;P
For a long time, I was reluctant to bake a delicious tart like this one here. I was always a bit afraid of making something like this Pear Tarte Tatin or other tarts of this category. Super tasty, extremely decorative, but also made with caramel… which can be tricky sometimes. I was really a bit nervous when making a Tarte Tatin for the first time. But once you’ve baked your first one, it’s all not that bad. The preparation is actually quite simple ;P
There is a lot you can do with apples. Purists simply bite into an apple and enjoy the fruit as it is. I do that from time to time too, but I actually prefer to use apples in cakes and other desserts. How about a delicious Apple Pie Tiramisu, for example? Sounds good, doesn’t it? This dessert is an absolute favorite of ours, and every time it’s placed on the table after a delicious dinner… it’s the crowning glory! ;)
A nice dinner without a delicious dessert is not quite perfect – at least in my opinion. I need something sweet at the end of a dinner… but it does not have to be a big cake or anything like that. A simple layer dessert is great! Something like this Vegan Chocolate Mousse with Cherry Compote, for example. It’s quick and easy to prepare and can be made in advance ;)
Tiramisu is probably the most famous Italian dessert. Delicious mascarpone cream, ladyfingers, and a mixture of strong coffee or espresso plus something boozy. When it comes to the boozy part opinions are divided – Marsala, Amaretto, or something completely different?! Some people are quite sensitive if their favorite dessert is prepared incorrectly. This No-Bake Tiramisu Cheesecake will probably also cause a lot of controversy in the comments. How can you make a cake like that out of a classic dessert? That’s horrible! ;P
The end of summer and fall is the time when apples are the »It Girls« of the fruits in Germany ;P Why? Well… mostly, because there is not much else growing locally on farms when it gets colder. The season for other fruits and berries is pretty much over here and apples take over. I am fine with that – time to make delicious Vegan Apple Fritters, isn’t it? ;) Theoretically, you can make them all year round because apples are available all year round but… well… That’s all ;P
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
