When it gets colder outside, stews are always a good idea. A simple and easy Potato Brussels Sprouts & Sausage Stew bubbling on the stove is always very welcome in our house. Even if the Brussels sprouts aren’t everyone’s favorite veggie, we love the combination with potatoes and sausages. It’s the perfect comfort food for us!

Many people swear by a simple tomato sauce, but there are other ways to create something tasty. This Pasta with Salsiccia & Savoy Cabbage has been given a simple carbonara-style sauce. Super easy to prepare and extremely tasty! The perfect weeknight dinner!
Stews are not only delicious when it’s cold outside. You might not need this as a warming dish in the height of summer, but if you are looking for something tasty, it does not matter if it’s freezing or hot outside. ;P
We like to keep things simple during the week when it comes to preparing dinner. Nobody wants to spend a lot of time in the kitchen after a long day of work, right?! A simple dish like this Sausage Stroganoff with Potato Noodles (Schupfnudeln) will be on the table in half an hour at the most. A reasonable time to prepare dinner after a busy day, I think. More time would be unbearable! ;)
We prepare simple stews almost every week in autumn and winter. We usually have all the ingredients you need for a stew at home. Even for this simple Stew with Beans, Lentils & Knackwurst, we typically have everything that’s needed in the cupboards or fridge. It never hurts to keep a few dry beans and lentils at hand ;P
You can always get me to the table with a tasty stew. A lot of veggies, beans’n’stuff, and maybe some meat too… I love it! This simple Sausage Bean Stew is no different. It tastes so great and is on the table in no time (if you don’t count in the preparation of the beans). What more could you want? A second bowl with stew after the first one has been eaten perhaps ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
