I got cheeeeesecake! Anybody here who wants a slice? I had some cream cheese in the fridge that had to go and cherries in the freezer – both are needed if you want to bake this Black Forest Cheesecake ;) Rich, great chocolate flavor and simply delicious. This cheesecake version of the original German Black Forest Cake aka. Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte has it all ;)
If I ask someone here in Berlin if they know what “Kirschwähe” means, I will probably get the same looks like here… assuming you are not from southern Germany and know that name for a certain bake :P Well… it is the name for something delicious and only a small part of Germany uses this word. End of story… :P
My first draft for this article was a bit rough. I called the cake you can see an “accident” which is not true. The story of this cake is not based on an accident – it is based on stupidity. My own stupidity… ;) Let me tell you why. But first, take a look at this delicious Lemon Ricotta Polenta Cake with Cherries and try not to drool on your mobile or your keyboard :P
It’s December and you all know what this means – Christmas Season is about to hit us hard ;P Well… for “us” bloggers the madness it’s actually halfway through already I’d say. Many recipes and articles that are going to be published in the upcoming weeks to Christmas have been already prepared the previous month or even earlier. At least on my blog here. I heard other bloggers are a bit more spontaneous when it comes to creating a blog post ;) Well… this Cheery Cranberry Mulled Wine Pie is quite fresh though. I decided last week to make it, so there was still some leftover in the fridge this week when I was writing this text. Not much though, cause the pie was quite popular ;)
Several days ago I published a recipe for delicious fudgy brownies here. Most of them were gone in a split second after I made the pictures – some I could save and make another sweet treat I am willing to share with you. To actually share this one here is hard, so prepare for a fight in case someone wants more :P Say hello to my über delicious black forest brownie layer dessert! So good!
It’s summer and easy recipes are always welcome, right? My motto right now – less time in the kitchen but still delicious and stunning desserts on the table. It’s possible ;) This Summer Pavlova with fresh fruits and berries is the ideal candidate here – easy to prepare and a showstopper on every garden party… in case you have a garden, otherwise a regular table in the kitchen will do ;)
Hi, my name is Marc. I'm a graphic designer. I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;) Read more...
