There is nothing sweet on here today. Sorry! No cake nor cupcake. I wanted to make something savory for a change. Something I could eat right after taking pictures of it ;) This grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and homemade guacamole did not survive – it was gone on a split second after the last picture was taken. So good! ;)
I decided to start this year on my blog with something savory. Nothing sweet today. Don’t worry, I did not turn into one of those blogs that suddenly only post sugar-free and calorie-free recipes after in January… but a bit less of everything can’t hurt actually :P Well, there might not be sugar in this recipe today, but definitely some calories. Delicious ones and good ones ;) Grilled cheese sandwiches are delicious, right? And those kinds of sandwiches get even better when Kimchi is involved!
There will be nothing sweet on here today! It’s summertime and the soccer World Cup just started. Let’s heat up the BBQ and get some burgers and meat on the grill. In case you want to throw a little soccer viewing party at home, I got the right snack for you: Roast Beef Sliders glazed with a Dark Beer Syrup and a lot of melted cheeeeese… sounds good, right?! ;)
I guess you had similar situations in your life already… there are times when you eat one specific dish very often, sometimes almost every day. I did for sure! For different reasons. Cause something is easy to prepare, or it’s cheap or cause I loooved it so much ;)
Well… when I was studying, there were moments (well not just moments… more like several months!) where I made a lot of grilled cheese for breakfast, lunch, and dinner… maybe not for breakfast that often but I think you get the point ;) It was a lot of grilled cheese.
We love a good Caesar Salad – with or without chicken. We also love wraps of all kinds here. So why not combining both and make a few Caesar Chicken BLT Wraps? These delicious wraps are perfect for lunch at the office or a picnic in the park. Preparing them is quite simple and straightforward – which is something we like a lot around here. ;P
Fancy some delicious sandwiches? We here in Germany are world champions when it comes to baking bread, but are we also the best when it comes to sandwiches? Not really. Other countries tend to be more creative when making sandwiches. Denmark and the US are our clear favorites here. Mom certainly wouldn’t have packed us these delicious (Veggie) Smoked Tofu Avocado Sandwiches for school back in the days. Let’s assume she did not even know what smoked tofu was back in the 80s and 90s. ;P
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
