Everybody knows (and probably loves) cinnamon rolls. They are quite popular. Delicious and fluffy yeast rolls with a thick cinnamon cream cheese glaze on top. Hmmmm… So good! These here are a seasonal version – Cherry & White Chocolate Rolls. Since cherries are all over the place right now, you have to use them for baking, right? ;)
Are you a fan of yeast dough or are you on team “I hate that kind of dough because it does whatever it wants but not what I want”? ;) I baked a lot with yeast in my life, so I actually like it. It’s not working perfectly everytime, but let’s say most of the time. This pull-apart bread with poppy seeds and pudding definitely worked really well…
Have you ever heard of “Buchteln”? I think they are not well known outside of Germany and Austria. Even in Germany only the south really knows what it means…
One other name is “Ofennudeln” – even though they do not look like noodles (Nudeln) at all :P Well.. who cares. If you have eaten your first one, you will remember the name of these yeast dumplings for sure! I made them today with a rhubarb ginger compote and delicious homemade vanilla sauce! So good!
There is one thing you should have for every brunch or breakfast with friends or family. A simple yeast loaf or brioche! This delicious bake can be eaten only with butter for example or with Nutella or sweet marmalade – even cold cuts work fine! The “one-for-all-bake” I’d say ;)
I think today’s bake is enough for at least one complete soccer team – probably even more. It’s a delicious yeast wreath with marzipan and poppy seeds. Sounds good? Coffee anybody? ;)
Ooops, I did it again! I baked with Eierlikör for the xxxxxxth time. I guess you can say I am an Eierlikör addict. :P But is sooo delicious! Don’t judge me! This time I made some delicious Eggnog (Eierlikör) Cinnamon Rolls. That might seem a bit unusual to use this type of alcohol in a bake, but it’s actually the best thing you can do. ;P
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
