It’s Cookie Friday! Yay! Somehow it seems the last Cookie Friday happened just yesterday with these delicious Cookie Truffles – but it is actually a week ago. Maybe it’s because I did not do much in between ;) Well let’s focus on these Mini Cookie Fruit Pizzas now – they are all you need to think about at the moment…
Red currant is not everybody’s darling I suppose. Most people find these berries a bit too sour. Well… here in Germany we have a saying “Sauer macht lustig” means if you eat something sour, you will be happy and jolly ;) Well at least your face :P
The sun is giving us two thumbs up today here in Berlin (unlike in other regions of Germany). Yay for that and sorry for the ones that don’t see the sun right now! ;)
Is there anything better than having some fresh berries from the farmers market to celebrate that good weather? No there is not :P

Normally I am not the one to tell long stories here, some of you may noticed already. I am not a fan of food bloggers that tell you the story of “Moses and the Exodus of Egypt” in full length every time they post a recipe and you have to look where the actual recipe is hidden… Buuuut maybe I should explain this one here a bit (don’t worry, the recipe is where it should be – at the end of the story) …
Red Currant is one of few berries, I hardly buy on the farmers market when they are in season – just because I don’t know many recipes where I could use them. I know them mainly as decoration on desserts ;) READ MORE
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
