Is there anything you can do, if you cookie leftovers? Yes I know…. cookies leftover, haha. Good one ;P Something like that is not happening – at least not in my world. But let’s assume there are cookies and nobody has eaten them yet (hypothetically). What can you do? Well… Very easy solution: Make a Cookie Torte! Bazinga! ;P
You got a bowl of blueberries in the fridge waiting to be used? We tend to forget about these little berries when they are somewhere in the back of the fridge. This should not happen, of course. Get those berries out of the fridge and bake this delicious Blueberry Mascarpone Cheesecake immediately! It’s the best thing you can do with berries like these. ;)
Apple Pie meets Cupcake! As you all probably know, I am a big fan of cupcakes. Huge fan! That’s why I try to combine cupcakes with other things I love – for example with an apple pie! Not a bad combination. Ok – let me re-phrase: A kick-ass-good combination! ;)
Everyone has probably eaten tiramisu, right? That delicious dessert from Italy is very poplar all over the world. It tastes so good, but is also packed with all those mean little calories. ;P This Speculoos Tiramisù in Glass Jars is a little lighter. Not much, but enough so you can eat a bigger portion if you want. ;P
Eierlikör is mandatory for Easter here in Germany. Well at least if I’m the one in charge for the Easter Brunch or Breakfast ;)
Mostly known as a treat for old ladies ( I don’t understand why, because I like it a lot) – Eierlikör is not only good for drinking and getting drunk. You can also bake with it ;) Not long ago I made a delicious Eierlikör Gugelhupf – really good and made with Homemade Eierlikör. This time I made another German Easter Classic – Eierlikör Torte. I saw the recipe for this cake on Steffis blog cupcakewerk.de (a really nice blog btw.) and knew instantly I had to bake it too – not only because I had some Eierlikör left from the previous week that had to be used – I also liked a lot that it is a small cake ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
