Snickerdoodle Poodle. No idea why I resisted trying these cookies for so long…. a really big mistake! These simple cookies here are super yummy…. you would hardly believe it if you see them for the first time, right? ;) These simple Snickerdoodle Cookies are just brilliantly delicious! If you spent the holiday season in Germany you probably know Christmas Cinnamon Stars aka. Zimtsterne – they are sold in supermarkets everywhere and always look very neat and perfect… but unfortunately, they do not taste as good as if your grandma (or my grandma) had made them ;) That’s why those cookies will never end up on my cookie plate for Christmas. I prefer the “real deal” and always make them at home… even if it takes days of hard labor to do so (which it does not) ;)
I made apple sauce several times already in the past – at school in cooking classes or at home with my mom, but when I think about it now… haven’t done it in years. It’s a shame ;) It is so easy to make, is much better than the one you can buy in the stores (because you decide what’s all in it and how sweet you make it) and you can store it for a long period… perfect!
For many, a bowl of cornflakes with milk is the perfect start in the morning. I was never really a fan of that. I prefer a bowl of Overnight Oats, to be honest – not only since I have to keep an eye on my sugar consumption… Cornflakes tend to be very sugary. You better not read the ingredients list on the package of your favorite cornflakes ;P Well… let’s forget about that today. Today I got some Cinnamon Crunch Cupcakes with some (but not too much) crunchy cinnamon cereals. Every once in a while it’s ok to eat stuff like that ;P
If you like cinnamon and apples, this one is for you. It takes a bit time (mostly waiting while to dough does the work) and it is a bit messy to make, but it will turn out just fine – I promise. A little bit butter here and there to grease, a little bit flour to avoid the dough sticking to the surface and you should be fine ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
