Carrot cakes have a lot of fans around the world. These (relatively) simple cakes are super tasty and usually quite soft and moist (I know, some of you don’t like the word). Well, here comes the cookie version of that cake – delicious Carrot Cake Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting. These cookies are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. So good! You will love them too!
Cooking is fun, but not everybody wants to spend a lot of time in the kitchen to prepare dinner, for example. Whenever I am not really in the mood for a long cooking session, I prepare a simple stew ;) You chop some veggies, throw everything into a large pot and leave it to simmer for a while. Easy to do and not really complicated. This Potato Stew with Carrots & Bell Peppers is the perfect candidate for a weeknight dinner. Simple, delicious and done in about 30 minutes ;)
Some of you may have seen our little “farting machine” here on the blog or on Instagram already. Our French bulldog Bruno is bringing us joy for seven years already with loud snoring at night and frequent farting attacks when we are innocently watching a movie on the sofa. Yesterday was his birthday – Bruno and I have the same zodiac sign and are both equally stubborn – in order to celebrate that special day I made him some Doggie Cookies with Carrots, Potatoes and a tiny bit of peanut butter… because he loves peanut butter ;)
Today I got more than one recipe for you… well, kind of. Only if you are willing to read recipes in German or know how to use Google Translator ;P Some bloggers and I created a little collection for easy recipes – all easy to prepare on a baking sheet in the oven. We call it “Fix vom Blech” here in Germany. Anyway – these Oven Veggies with Halloumi are my contribution to this little ist of delicious recipes… sorry, no cake. Again ;)
Today I have some “healthy” cookies for a change. Well “healthy”… it is still a cookie and a sweet treat, but there is no chocolate, peanut butter or caramel in it (like the last couple recipes I showed you for Cookie Friday) – so I consider them a bit more healthiererer than others…
You probably have a similar experience – the internet is a great source of inspiration of any kind. Services like Pinterest are perfect to find cooking and baking recipes… apart from this blog of course ;P A few years ago I switched from cookbooks to the internet when looking for new recipes – long before this blog even existed. I stumbled across a lot of great and interesting things I eventually tried in the kitchen. This delicious Vegetable Spiral Tart is one of those internet treasures. I saw a picture of a tart like this and immediately knew – I have to try that one ;)
I love my job, but in between I love to bake and try new things in the kitchen. A lot of my friends and colleagues encourage me to bake - for a very simple reason: they get the leftovers - and it seems they like it most of the time ;)
